Tech Tips with Tamara Part 3: Hyperlinking a Signature

Today's Tech Tip with Tamara:
Hyperlinked Signatures

Hey guys! :)
Today I'll be sharing how to hyperlink a signature.  I learned how to do this a few months ago.  It's super easy to do and really helps people to connect with you quickly when you're commenting on their posts.

I'll share with you just a wee bit about the codes and such, but...basically, what you're going to do is copy my code and insert YOUR information into it! :)  Then you can just save it on your desktop for a ready reference when you need it!

Now, I'll have you know that I'm no code expert, but these are a few things I've picked up...
Take a look at the code for my signature.

Signature w/bold & italicized website & grade level
Tamara Russell
<a href="http://www.tamaravrussell.blogspot.com"</a>
<i><b>Mrs.Russell's Room</b>
First Grade</i></a>

This is what it looks like when it's in a message.

The orange part is what tells the computer what to hyperlink back to.  So, when you're doing your own signature, you need to put YOUR web address in the orange section.

The pink part is my website's name.  Put YOUR website's name there.

The blue part is what grade I'm in this year.  Put YOUR grade in that spot.

Now, if you dont' want part of the code, that's simple. Just take it out! :)  But remember that the anchors have to be there in order for them to work.

I made the anchors green so that you'd know what not to delete! :)

The <i> makes things italic.  The <b> makes things bold...so, if you want a different feel...change those to suit your own style! :)

Here's a second option:

<b>Mrs.Russell's Room</b>
<i>First Grade</i></a>

Here's what it looks like when my blog name is NOT italicized.

Hope that helps! :)
Have a wonderful Tuesday! :)
