Life as an AMBIVERT!

If you've ever met me, you know I'm a pretty outgoing person.  I love people, but sometimes, I can be at home and just sit on my couch and read for hours and be perfectly happy.  I recently read two fantastic posts by Jennifer Kadar and Emily Liscom about extroverts and introverts.  I saw a bit of myself in each of those posts.  I didn't know there was a name for what's between both, but there IS!
An ambivert!
So, in the spirit of those two posts, a buddy of mine, Shelley from The Write Stuff and I are going to share a few things about being ambiverts with you!

1. We like purposeful interaction, so don't be surprised if you're talking to us for longer than you intended.

2. We like to talk through what we're thinking, so, we might be the one that asks questions in staff meetings.

3. We are really passionate about teaching and love talking about it

so we like to share what we're do and celebrate with colleagues

after a great lesson

when we hear the staff meeting is cancelled
and even when we turn in our attendance on time several days in a row.
because we grow from collaboration and communication.

4. We are usually pretty good at a lot of things...and that makes us seem like 'overachievers'.

5. And after all that energy is spent on the day, we sometimes like to shut it down at night so that we can recharge in peace and start the next day fresh!

If you're an ambivert too, check out Shelley's post for other ideas!
