Good Friends, Good Food and a Good giveaway, too!

Our sweet buddy Jason! :)  Can't wait to see him take the plunge!!
Hello everyone!

A sweet mentor and friend--Latoshia--came to have lunch with me!
Good old fashioned GIRL TIME!!!
Are you getting ready for school like I'm getting ready for school?  I've got about two and a half weeks until I'm 'all the way' back to school and I'm just trying to get last minute things completed before I go on vacation! :)  We haven't been ANYWHERE all summer really, and it's been kind of a bummer...so, I am so glad that my old college chum is getting married in Greenville, SC next weekend!  It gives Chris and I an opportunity to hang out with all of my old college peeps and just relax! :)  Plus...I'll get to love on all the new babies people have had since the LAST time I visited!  God willing...Chris and I will have our own little bundle by the time I visit again!  Keep your fingers crossed for us! :)  At least its still fun to try! :)
This week, I got to hang with a few local friends and I really had a ball! :)  I don't know about you, but I love to try out new local spots to eat.  There's a cute little bistro in my town called the Mad Melon.  It is really a house that's been redone to be a restaurant!  The inside was so clean and cute! :)  The food was delish too! :)  I think I had four glasses of sweet tea--it was THAT good! They serve soups, salads, flatbreads...and WINE! :)  Hopefully, I'll be able to take a few of my teacher peeps over there one Friday after work!  They even have live music!! Totally a place that we could hang out and relax! :)

We were working off of TWO computers
for this project!!
I met with a different teacher pal of mine, Tammy Wathen--from the Resourceful Apple--this week, to work on long range plans!  I'm so glad that we were able to connect over the last year! :)  We met at a Kagan training around this time last year...and we've been blogging buds ever since! :) She has the sweetest boys ever! :)  They were kind enough to share their mom with me for the afternoon as we worked on knocking out the first nine weeks! :)  I'll have to ask her where she gets her deli meat, because I had the best turkey sandwich and lemonade lunch I'd ever had at her house! :)  Yum-Oh-La! :)  I've got to say...nothing improves my practice more than curriculum mapping!  It really helps me to see where I need to take the kids!  It's great to do it with other teachers too, because we're able to tag team ideas off of each other! :)  I think our mapping came out pretty great so far.  Next week, we'll be getting together with a third firstie teacher to wrap it up! :)  Here's a picture of the cover and the second week! :)

I think that I also mentioned on my facebook page that I'm going to be doing a wishlist sale with a few other blogger buddies of mine! :)  What I did was, I looked at the top five wishlisted items in my store and ranked them in order from five to one.  I'll be posting about a different item each day...and having a sale for that one item. :)  I was really excited at the top five! :)  They are all items that I really spent a lot of time working on...and am really proud of! :)  So...if you were planning on picking up something from my store...start checking out what's on sale every day, starting Wednesday and ending on Sunday! :)  A few of my bestest bloggy friends are also having wishlist sales in their stores too! :)  So, make sure that you go check them out as well! :)

Now, for a giveaway! :)
My brand new math assessments pack was actually NUMBER 6 on my wishlist!  But, since I blogged about it...40 more people put it on their list!!  Sheesh! :)  So...I'm going to call this my 'honorable mention' giveaway!  Two lucky winners will get this set! :)
